Stacey Brewer is the Executive Assistant for the Vice President for Educational Outreach at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of North Alabama, has achieved designation as a Certified Administrative Professional with an Organizational Management specialty, and is an active member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). Prior to joining HudsonAlpha in 2013, Stacey spent seven years as an administrative professional at Redstone Federal Credit Union supporting C-Level executives.
As an outspoken Millennial and a male admin in a predominantly female field, Stacey has gained national recognition with his efforts to renew the emphasis on the impact of administrative professionals in the workplace. In 2012, this led to him being featured in an article for U.S. News and World Report on “The Evolution of the Secretary.” As a catalyst for igniting the evolution of the field, Stacey's presentations at the local, regional and national level of IAAP and his role on the Board of Directors of The Foundation of IAAP have helped reenergize a maturing field.
Stacey is a dedicated career admin who takes pride in providing the highest level of support to his executive. When he is not working, Stacey enjoys indulging his interest in Southern history and folklore or retreating to the mountains for solitude and renewal.
